A total of 43 children diagnosed with cancer received financial assistance from the provincial government on Friday, December 9.

Governor Dennis โ€œDeltaโ€ Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia โ€œNanayโ€ Pineda distributed the assistance to the parents and guardians of the children in a simple ceremony held at the Bren Z. Guiao, Convention Center.

Each cancer patient received a check for P10,000.  Gov. Delta pledged an additional monthly assistance of P5,000 to support medication and ease the families’ burdens.

“Commitment mi kekayu additional P5,000 monthly na assistance para kareng pangangailangan da reng anak. Try mi ri Nanay kung makananu kaming makasaup kareng maintenance medicines da,โ€ he stated.

Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the assistance given by the provincial government.

โ€œDahil po kay Governor Delta, unti-unti na pong gumagaling ang anak ko sa sakit na cancer,โ€ said Alfred Brosas, father of a cancer beneficiary.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) confirmed that the additional assistance will be disbursed quarterly which would commence next year.
