𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐚𝐩 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐂, 𝐏𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐂, 𝐏𝐓𝐅-𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐀𝐂 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Tarlac Governor Susan Yap and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tarlac Provincial Director Armi Bactad led the 4th quarter joint meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) at the Roof Deck of the Capitol Center, November 16.

The last quarter joint meeting for this year was aimed at strengthening peace and order in the province.

The 3rd Mechanized Infantry and 71st Infantry Battalions of the Philippine Army reported the current situation on the threats of terrorism, insurgency and the ending of local communist armed conflict while the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO) presented the status of peace and order in the province and an update on the status of anti-illegal drug program and activities by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Likewise, according to TPPO, Tarlac has maintained a peaceful and orderly situation during the recently concluded Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

In the joint meeting, the DILG cited the municipalities of Capas, Pura, San Clemente, San Jose, and San Manuel as national awardees of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council Audit.

The DILG also recognized the outstanding performance of the province on the 2022 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit.

Fourteen out of 18 Tarlac local government units bagged the award. (Tarlac PIO)
