The League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)–Tarlac Chapter has expressed its unanimous and unwavering support for Tarlac City Mayor Susan A. Yap amid the recent Commission on Elections (COMELEC) decision annulling her proclamation.
In Resolution No. 4, Series of 2025, the LMP–Tarlac Chapter recognized Mayor Yap as the duly elected local chief executive of Tarlac City and affirmed the clear and legitimate mandate given to her by the people. The group also urged the COMELEC en banc to reconsider its ruling and uphold the sovereign will of the electorate.



The resolution further called for unity among public officials and citizens of Tarlac, emphasizing respect for democratic institutions and due process.
The LMP–Tarlac Chapter described Mayor Yap as a “recognized and respected leader whose administration has been instrumental in fostering progress, unity, and development not only within Tarlac City but throughout the entire province.”
In response, Mayor Yap extended her gratitude to her fellow local chief executives for their show of solidarity.
“Taos pusong pasasalamat sa ating mga kaibigan at kapamilya sa League of Municipalites of the Philippines – Tarlac Chapter. Saksi ang lahat sa iisang paninindigan ng mga kapwa ko Mayor ng Probinsya ng Tarlac para bigyang lakas ang boses niyong mga kababayan ko sa Tarlac City,” Mayor Yap said.
“I am even more inspired and determined to continue our shared commitment to deliver good governance and compassionate public service to our beloved Tarlaqueños, knowing that I have your full support. Maraming salamat po!” she added.
The resolution was approved and adopted during the regular session of the LMP–Tarlac Chapter on October 24, 2025, led by its president, Mayor Doña Cresencia R. Tesoro, and vice president, Atty. Roseller B. Rodriguez.
