Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. met with Mutya Ning Angeles 2024, Allyson Hetland today, 09 January, to discuss her upcoming role in promoting the city’s tourism initiatives and supporting various local projects.

Accompanied by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and Barangay Pandan Captain Cors Alejandrino, Mayor Lazatin welcomed Hetland to the meeting, where they talked about her involvement in the city government’s tourism efforts.

Hetland, who was crowned Mutya Ning Angeles 2024, will serve as the city’s Ambassadress of Goodwill and Tourism. As part of her role, she will actively promote the city’s local products, particularly those from the One Town, One Product (OTOP) store, which showcases Gawang Angeleño goods.

Additionally, Hetland will represent Angeles City in the upcoming Mutya Ning Kapampangan Pageant 2025, where she will continue to showcase the city’s culture and talent.

To recall, Hetland was crowned MNA 2024 and awarded P2 million in cash and prizes after triumphing over 21 other candidates during last year’s pageant.

Also present at the meeting were Angeles City Tourism Officer Anneleen Sugui, ACDRRMO Chief Rudy Simeon, and Dong Mendiola, who all expressed their support for Hetland’s new role.
