In celebration of the 31st National Children’s Month, the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children-Central Luzon recognized local government units, leaders and organizations with substantial contributions in ensuring that children’s right to survival, development, protection, and participation are given importance through policy development, investment planning, program implementation and advocacy. 

The City Council on the Welfare of Children of Mabalacat City headed by the City Mayor  and Chairperson CCWC Hon. Crisostomo C. Garbo was awarded as one of the Gawad Makabata for Local Council Awards (Regional Level) as Best LCPC (Highest Rated) for the protection of Children Category on November 22, 2023, held at Good Shepherd Hall, SACOP Ephatha, City of San Fernando Pampanga. 

The said award was received by MCG POPGAD Staff John Paul Pangilinan Singueo, RSW Community Affairs Officer III/Division Chief, GAD M&CD, and Zafyr C. Aquino, RN Acting Asst. Department Head-City Population, GAD Office and CIO Documentor, Cerone Amir Velasco, Information Officer I.
