Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II marked his first 100 days in office with a strong message of unity and service, unveiling major strides in healthcare, education, economic growth, and urban safety —anchored on his vision of a “Smart, Green, and Global Angeles City.”
Speaking before city officials, employees, and residents at City Hall, Lazatin underscored that his accomplishments reflect the collective effort of government workers and Angeleños alike, not just his administration.

Among the key highlights:
✅ Health Services Upgrade — Ospital Ning Angeles (ONA) is set to become a Mental Health Institute, a Rheumatic Heart Disease Clinic, and a Corneal Transplant Hospital—firsts in Central Luzon. It is also working toward being the city’s first Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital, with continued free medicine programs and expanded disease centers for TB, HIV, and animal bites.
✅ Economic and Infrastructure Growth — The city began streamlining business processes, revising its Investment and Revenue Codes, revitalizing Walking Street, and linking local farmers directly to consumers. Plans for socialized housing and livelihood assistance for rehabilitated individuals are also underway.
✅ Education and Youth Development — Classroom repairs, TESDA course expansion at the City College of Angeles, and stronger industry-academe linkages are being prioritized. Funding for new school buildings and more sports activities has been secured.
✅ Clean, Safe, and Green City — The administration has launched drainage clearing, floodway expansion, river clean-ups, and road clearing. Solar panel net-metering in government buildings, spaghetti wire removal, and stricter waste management policies are also being rolled out.
✅ Peace and Order — With improved CCTV coverage, police visibility, GPS-equipped patrol cars, and 24/7 traffic management, emergency response now clocks in at five minutes or less.

Lazatin affirmed that these first 100 days are only the beginning. “Every decision we make will always be guided by one principle — the welfare of our people comes first,” he said.
He ended his address by rallying Angeleños to continue working together toward a more disciplined, healthy, and compassionate city. “Luid ya ing Angeles City!”
