Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. issued a memorandum reminding vendors to ensure that all the meat they are selling at the Pampang Market have proper documentation, thereby guaranteeing the safety of the consumers.
Pampang Market staff Edwin Bundalian is shown distributing the memo.
Earlier, Lazatin ordered the Angeles City Traffic and Development Office, City Veterinary Office and City Meat Inspection Division to set up checkpoints where meat will be inspected before being taken to the city’s slaughterhouse and markets.
Market vendor Rommel Capili praised this move, and said “Ika nga po, lagi po aktibo ang ating mayor para masiguorng ligtas ang mga consumers.”
