Philippine flags were installed all over the City Hall premises and off-site offices today, May 28, in observance of the 126th National Flag Day.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. says the installation of the Philippine flags is the city’s initiative to continue remembering the countryโ€™s victories during the colonial period, and to promote patriotism and love for the country.

The Angeles City Tourism Office (ACTO), headed by Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, led the installation of the Philippine flag, with the supervision of Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.

Manuel shared that as part of the celebration, as well as the upcoming Independence Day commemoration, the City Engineerโ€™s Office led by Engr. Helen Ayro already installed and lit up the Independence Day lanterns along the Abacan Bridge since May 10.

ACTO OIC Antonio-Sugui, meanwhile, assures the public that the city government is doing its part in enriching both Filipino and Kapampangan history and culture.
