Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. led today, March 26, the distribution of new garbage trucks for 17 barangays in the city.ย ย

This delivery is the first in a series, with a total of 66 units purchased to bolster the cityโ€™s waste management capacity.

The remaining trucks are expected to be delivered in the coming months.

โ€œThis is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance the cityโ€™s waste management services and contribute to a cleaner, greener Angeles City,โ€ Mayor Lazatin stressed.

The new trucks, combined with the ongoing construction of the waste transfer station in the city, are expected to solve the waste collection problems in the grassroots level.

Mayor Lazatin further stressed that proper maintenance of the trucks is crucial for the long-term success of the cityโ€™s waste management program.

Such can be achieved with the coordinated efforts of all barangay captains in the city, thereby urging them to take good care of the new vehicles to be distributed to their barangay.

ย โ€œThese vehicles are not mere garbage trucks; they are the symbol of our commitment to cleanliness and environmental sustainability.โ€ Lazatin asserted.ย
