The Philippine Carabao Center at Central Luzon State University (PCC at CLSU) is highlighting its premium carabao leather products under the brand name “Cara Cuero.”
Ericson Dela Cruz, Center Director of PCC at CLSU, shared that the center produces a wide range of leather items made from authentic carabao hide. These include jackets, belts, slippers, sandals, boots, top-sider shoes, bags, coin purses, wallets, and notebooks.

“The beauty of Cara Cuero is that it uses pure carabao hide. This means we can confidently say that the products are of high quality,” Dela Cruz emphasized.
The products are available in a variety of colors, prints, textures, finishes, and thicknesses, catering to diverse customer preferences. Despite their high quality, PCC at CLSU ensures that the items are priced reasonably, offering a more affordable alternative to high-end branded leather goods.
“Our Cara Cuero products are affordable, accessible, and available to the public. They are not overly expensive nor cheap; the prices are just right to cover production costs,” Dela Cruz explained.
Cara Cuero products are crafted in partnership with local tanneries in Meycauayan City, Bulacan, and Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, supporting local artisans and industries.
For those interested in purchasing, the items are available for sale at PCC at CLSU in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Alternatively, customers can browse and place orders through the Cara Cuero Facebook Page. (PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
