Pampanga Capitol, DSWD give aid to 861 PWD amputees

A total of 861 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who are amputees have received financial aid from the Provincial Government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Friday, May 10.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Executive Assistant Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, and officials from DSWD Region 3, personally reached out to each PWD in ceremonies held at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center.

The governor assured the beneficiaries that the provincial government will continue them in whatever needs they have.

“Tandanan yu pu atsu ya pu ing Kapitolyu, ikami di nanay at reng board members yu para kekayu nanu man pu ing kailangan yu,” he said.

As part of the assistance provided, each beneficiary received a cash grant of P3,000 from DSWD.

Additionally, the Provincial Government conducted free medical check-ups and distributed medicines, food packs, and an additional P2,000 cash aid to further support the circumstances of the amputees.

Also present during the event were Board Members Fritzie David Dizon, PCL President Cherry Manalo, ABC President Atty. Claire Lim, SK President JC Cruz, Special Assistant to the Governor and PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, and Acting PSWDO Fe Manarang.
