Philippines exits FATF Grey List with key support from BOC-Port of Clark

After more than three years, the Philippines has successfully exited the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Grey List, a major step in strengthening the country’s efforts against money laundering and terrorism financing. This achievement comes under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who set the goal of addressing the country’s deficiencies and removing it from the global Grey List in 2024.

A key player in this success is the Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark, led by Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio. The BOC-Port of Clark, under District Collector Jairus Reyes, has implemented stricter border security measures, improved trade transparency, and reinforced anti-money laundering enforcement. These efforts have been particularly crucial within the jurisdiction of Clark International Airport.

Deputy Collector for Passenger Service Atty. Danilo G. Ballena Jr. and his team have played an essential role in monitoring cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and enhancing risk management strategies.

The BOC-Port of Clark continues to uphold international security standards, contribute to the country’s economic growth, and support the administration’s vision of creating a more transparent and secure trade environment for the Philippines.
