Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Qatar Airways have officially launched their daily codeshare service between Manila and Doha, marking a significant milestone in their newly formed strategic partnership.
The inaugural flight was welcomed at Hamad International Airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by PAL President Richard Nuttall, PAL EVP/COO Carlos Luis Fernandez, VP Christoph Gaertner, and key executives from Qatar Airways.
“This partnership brings the best of both airlines to our valued customers,” said PAL President Nuttall. “Together with Qatar Airways, we’re committed to offering seamless connectivity between the Philippines and Qatar, and to onward destinations across our combined networks.”
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori echoed the sentiment: “This daily flight marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration. We’re proud to welcome Philippine Airlines into our global network, expanding travel opportunities to and from the Philippines through Doha.”
The daily nonstop flights are operated by PAL’s Airbus A330-300, equipped with 18 full-flat Business Class seats and 341 Economy seats. Travelers from Manila gain access to Qatar Airways’ global network of over 170 destinations via the award-winning Hamad International Airport—voted Skytrax’s Best Airport in the Middle East for 2025.
