San Nicolas, CSF residents grateful for P3.89-M road upgrade project

Residents of Sitio Bulusan in Barangay San Nicolas have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Pampanga Provincial Government as Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the groundbreaking ceremony for the improvement and concreting of their barangay road.

The ceremony, held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, was attended by Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr., former Board Member and Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, and other local officials.

A total of ₱3,980,566.14 has been allocated for the road upgrade project, which is expected to be completed by May.

Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan explained that the project will raise the road by an average of 60 centimeters and span a length of 204.7 linear meters. The project will also rehabilitate and elevate the drainage system, improving water flow and reducing the risk of flooding—a common issue in the area during the rainy season.

Residents are hopeful that the improvements will enhance both the safety and accessibility of the road, ultimately benefiting the entire community.

“At long last, our road here in San Nicolas will be fixed and improved… It will prevent flooding, and there won’t be any more slippery areas,” said Tany David, a resident of the barangay.

This project is part of Governor Delta’s ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure and building disaster resilience across Pampanga, ultimately aiming to uplift the lives of local residents.

Also present during the groundbreaking were Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, City Councilors Rose Calimlim, Ricky Hizon, and Rosalie Mendoza, as well as Barangay Captain Jerwin Sembrano.
