The Province of Tarlac has officially declared ZERO CASE STATUS after its first and only confirmed Mpox case—recorded in Tarlac City—was declared fully recovered.
The Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) confirmed the patient’s recovery following appropriate care and strict adherence to treatment protocols. With no remaining active cases in the province, health authorities attribute this success to swift government response and strong community cooperation.
Health officials continue to remind the public to remain vigilant and practice preventive measures to reduce the risk of Mpox transmission.
Tips to Prevent Mpox:
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use alcohol-based sanitizers.
- Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces and objects frequently touched by others.
- Avoid crowded areas and close physical contact when possible.
- Wear protective clothing such as long sleeves and pants in public spaces.
- Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
- Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as fever or skin rashes.
