TPB Takes PH Tourism to new heights with world-class Entertainment

The SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City came alive on January 29 as Grammy Award-winning pop rock band Maroon 5 lit up the stage in front of a sold-out crowd. The concert, co-presented by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines in partnership with Live Nation, was a highlight of the Destination Music Festival, an initiative aimed at positioning the Philippines as a top destination for world-class entertainment.

The energy in the arena was palpable as the band kicked off the night with their iconic hit “Animals.” Adam Levine’s signature vocals, paired with the band’s flawless instrumentals, had fans on their feet, singing along to a mix of classics like “Payphone,” “She Will Be Loved,” “Memories,” and “Sugar.”

“This concert was more than just a performance; it was a celebration of the Philippines’ dynamic entertainment and cultural landscape,” said Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of TPB. “Through Maroon 5’s concert, we’re reaffirming our dedication to making the Philippines a global hub for music tourism. Events like these showcase our ability to host world-class performances and underscore how the Destination Music Festival initiative helps drive economic growth, foster cultural exchange, and elevate our global presence.”

The Destination Music Festival is part of TPB’s ongoing effort to boost concert tourism in the Philippines. By collaborating with international artists through partnerships with Live Nation Philippines, the initiative is designed to attract more visitors to the country while highlighting its vibrant culture and entertainment scene.
