Pampanga Press Club scored a historic feat with the staging of the first ever PPC Invitational Golf Tournament today, 15 May, at Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club today.

Following the ceremonial tee off led by Department of Budget and Management Usec. Goddes Hope Libiran, Savers Group Holdings Inc. President and CFO Jansen Ivan Uy, Mabalacat City Legal Officer Atty. Francis A. Dimaliwat (representing Mayor Cris Garbo) and JDN Realty Chair Arni Valdez, a little over 80 golfers played shotgun.

Minna Lee won the Ladies’ Division, with Mikaela Mitchell as runner-up.  Winner in the Class C Division is Winfrey Advincula, and the runner-up is Kerwin Ong. 

Class B Champion is Ian Perez, with Atty. Paul Yusi as runner-up.  Meanwhile, Class A Division was dominated by Jericho Maceda, followed by Oliver Fernandez as runner-up.

Shiela Ward scored Low Gross, and the Overall Champion is Andy Choi.

During the awarding ceremonies, former PPC President and 1st PPC Golf Tour Chair Lincoln Baluyut thanked all the participants for being part of the press club’s history.  The player turnout was higher than expected.

Meanwhile, PPC President Noel G. Tulabut, who also thanked the golfers and the team who made the golf tour possible, promised that the future editions of the PPC golf tour will be ‘bigger, brighter and more exciting.”
