The Local Government Unit of Mabalacat City, led by Mayor Geld Aquino, has released financial assistance to 27 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) barangay councils to support youth sports and development activities in the city.

Each SK received ₱100,000 in cash assistance intended to fund various youth-led programs and initiatives at the community level.

The distribution was joined by Vice Mayor Jun Castro and members of the city council, along with SK Federation President Paul Tiongco and CYDO Head Lacel Baluyut.

Mayor Aquino said the city government continues to prioritize youth development programs and allows young leaders the flexibility to decide how best to use their funds for meaningful projects.

Vice Mayor Castro emphasized the importance of supporting the youth, describing them as the hope and future of the community.

Youth representatives expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the funding will help accelerate and expand their local programs and activities.
