Various national government agencies joined the Pampanga Provincial Government in bringing assistance, services, and opportunities closer to Kapampangans on Monday, September 14, as part of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s birthday celebration.
Representing the President, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon assured Kapampangans of the national government’s continued support.
“Ngayong kaarawan ng Pangulo, ang regalo ng Pangulo sa atin ay trabaho, tulong, at patuloy na malasakit para sa ating mga Kapampangan,” Dizon said.
Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, together with Nanay Party-list Rep. Florabel Yatco, provincial board members, mayors, and representatives of participating agencies, joined the activity.
An estimated ₱118.8 million worth of assistance and services was delivered through the simultaneous “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” program.
Among the assistance provided were:
- NCSC: ₱1.7 million for 148 octogenarian/nonagenarian beneficiaries and ₱300,000 for three centenarians.
- CHED: ₱75.6 million in education subsidies.
- DMW: ₱15.5 million in AKSYON Fund assistance for 267 OFWs.
- DSWD: ₱2.4 million in AICS assistance for 1,214 beneficiaries and ₱909,865 in SLP grants for 46 beneficiaries.
- DTI: ₱14.8 million in Shared Service Facility assistance for the Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation Inc., plus ₱1.8 million in loans for three beneficiaries.
- DOLE: Livelihood kits for four families and ₱1.5 million for the Municipality of Guagua under its Integrated Livelihood Program.
- TESDA: Welding toolkits, scholar allowances, ₱3.2 million in scholarship vouchers, and skills and career services.
- DA: KADIWA ng Pangulo rice at ₱20 per kilo, along with farm machinery, seeds, fertilizers, and livestock supplies.
- PCIC: Indemnity checks for 60 farmers.
- DAR: 16 electronic titles covering 28 hectares for 15 agrarian reform beneficiaries.
- DOH and PHO: Pneumococcal vaccination, medical diagnostics, health risk assessments, and maintenance medicines.
- PhilHealth: Registration and YAKAP services.
- DOJ, PAO, IBP-Pampanga and LRA: Free legal consultations and advice.
- PSA: National ID registration.
- PNP and NBI: Police clearance services, security assistance, and free NBI clearance for the first 200 applicants, with discounts or waived fees for other qualified applicants.
The provincial government said the initiative went beyond a birthday celebration by providing direct assistance and essential services to Kapampangans in education, livelihood, agriculture, health, social welfare, and other areas.
