Angeles University Foundation (AUF) marked a historic milestone on December 4, 2024, with the inauguration of the Emmanuel Y. Angeles Center for Learning and Innovation (EYACLI). The event honored University Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Emmanuel Y. Angeles and coincided with the 117th birth anniversary of University Founder Dr. Barbara Y. Angeles.

Former Philippine President and AUF Board of Trustees Chairperson, Hon. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, joined university officials, faculty, alumni, and students in celebrating the legacies of these two pivotal figures in AUF’s journey toward academic excellence.

The inauguration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a solemn blessing led by Archbishop Emeritus Most Rev. Paciano B. Aniceto, D.D. Distinguished members of the AUF Board of Trustees, the Angeles family, university officials, faculty, staff, and student leaders were in attendance, reflecting the community’s shared pride and commitment.

The Emmanuel Y. Angeles Center for Learning and Innovation is envisioned as a hub for research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, underscoring AUF’s dedication to progressive education. It houses five colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Criminal Justice Education, College of Computer Studies, College of Education and College of Engineering and Architecture.

Equipped with state-of-the-art research laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and digital resource hubs, the facility is designed to meet the demands of 21st-century education and foster innovation among students and faculty.

As the AUF community celebrates this milestone, the new center is expected to nurture future leaders and innovators, carrying forward the legacy of Dr. Emmanuel Y. Angeles and Dr. Barbara Y. Angeles in advancing education and nation-building.
