Savers Group Holdings Inc, (SGHI) Chairman Jaime “Jack” Uy has expressed his gratitude for being cleared in a case of mistaken identity involving his nickname-sake, Jack Uy.

The misidentification arose amid the scrutiny of Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, who has been accused of connections to the POGO hub during recent Senate hearings.

The article stated that Jack Lopez Uy, linked to Baofu Land Development Incorporated—a company involved in the controversial POGO hub hearings—is from Quezon City and not Angeles City’s Jaime “Jack” Uy.

A significant part of the investigation focused on a 36-structure facility in Barangay Anupul, Bamban, owned by Baofu Land Development Incorporated, which Guo co-founded in May 2019. Guo stated that she divested her shares from Baofu in 2022 to avoid conflicts of interest before running for mayor.

The company’s 2022 records show that Quezon City resident Jack Lopez Uy acquired Guo’s 50% majority shares. This report has been posted and shared on various social media platforms.
