Angeles City LGU clears Illegal Dump in Cutcut

The Angeles City Local Government Unit, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, immediately acted on a public complaint regarding illegal dumping near the boundary of Porac and Angeles, along the approach to the overpass in Barangay Cutcut.

The complaint, received early Thursday morning, reported a growing pile of garbage discarded along the roadside, raising concerns about environmental hazards and public sanitation.

Upon receiving the report, Mayor Lazatin promptly ordered the city’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to investigate and take immediate action. EMS personnel, in coordination with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and barangay officials, were quickly deployed to the area.

The team cleared the illegally dumped waste within the day, restoring cleanliness and order to the affected site.

Mayor Lazatin emphasized the need for vigilance and community cooperation in maintaining a clean environment. “Maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility. I urge barangay officials and residents to regularly monitor and safeguard their surroundings,” he said.

The city government also reaffirmed its commitment to strictly enforce anti-littering and illegal dumping ordinances.

Nearby residents expressed appreciation for the swift response, saying such action fosters greater community involvement in keeping Angeles City clean and pollution-free.
