The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Angeles City LGU has recently conducted the โ€œAlay Skills Trainingโ€ where 43 individuals underwent a 4-month training in dressmaking and beauty care at the PESO Training Center.

AC PESO Officer-in-Charge Ferdie Calma said the trainees graduated last September 29, at Robinsonโ€™s Place – Angeles City.

Calma said Mayor Carmelo โ€œPogiโ€ Lazatin Jr. seeks to hone the skills of residents in a bid to provide employment opportunities for them.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Lazatin provided livelihood for seamstresses or local โ€œmananahisโ€ to make facemasks.

Of the 29 beauty care trainees, three are males. The rest took the training for dressmaking.

The skills training was conducted in coordination with the JCI Angeles City โ€œCuliatโ€ and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
