Supporting Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II’s Urban Agriculture Program, the City Agriculture Office continues to advance sustainable food production and combat malnutrition through its ‘Gulayan sa Barangay’ and ‘Gulayan sa Paaralan’ initiatives.

From January 12–23, 2026, the office distributed thousands of gardening materials to walk-in clients, schools, barangays, and farming communities across the city, including:
- 1,441 assorted vegetable seeds
- 3,480 assorted vegetable seedlings
- 231 fruit-bearing plants
- 314 ornamental plants
- 9 medicinal plants
The initiative encourages residents, especially students, to cultivate their own gardens and make the most of available spaces, promoting food security, environmental sustainability, and better nutrition.
Interested Angeleños can claim free seeds, seedlings, fruit-bearing, forage, and ornamental plants at the City Hall Compound, Monday to Friday.
