Supporting Mayor Carmelo โJonโ Lazatin IIโs Urban Agriculture Program, the City Agriculture Office continues to advance sustainable food production and combat malnutrition through its โGulayan sa Barangayโ and โGulayan sa Paaralanโ initiatives.

From January 12โ23, 2026, the office distributed thousands of gardening materials to walk-in clients, schools, barangays, and farming communities across the city, including:

The initiative encourages residents, especially students, to cultivate their own gardens and make the most of available spaces, promoting food security, environmental sustainability, and better nutrition.
Interested Angeleรฑos can claim free seeds, seedlings, fruit-bearing, forage, and ornamental plants at the City Hall Compound, Monday to Friday.
