Apalit LGU Adopts 4-Day Workweek Starting March 12

The Municipal Government of Apalit will implement a temporary change in office working hours beginning March 12, 2026, in compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines at Malacañang Palace.

Under the directive, the local government will adopt a four-day workweek schedule as part of the government’s energy conservation protocols under the Government Energy Management Program.

Local government employees will follow the adjusted schedule below:

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The new schedule will apply to all local government employees.

However, frontline and vital service offices will continue to operate under their regular schedules to ensure uninterrupted public service. These include:

  • Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)
  • Municipal Health Office (MHO)

The municipal government also encouraged residents to plan their transactions accordingly in light of the temporary change in office hours.
