The House Committee on Poverty Alleviation, chaired by former President and incumbent Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, convened to discuss key legislative measures aimed at strengthening assistance to vulnerable populations.


Among the proposals deliberated were:
- HB 103 – Enhancing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) through parent leader engagement and increased funding, presented by Rep. JC Abalos.
- Substitute Bill to HBs 326, 1040, 1434, 2789, 3323, 3450, 3507, 4522, 4900, 5093, 5854 & 6734 – Expanding and reinforcing RA 11310, the 4Ps Act, authored by Reps. Iris Marie Demesa Montes, JC Abalos, Leila De Lima, Javier Miguel Lopez Benitez, Dante Garcia, Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, Eric Olivarez, Cheeno Miguel Almario, Rolando Ledesma Macasaet, and Jonathan Keith Flores.
- HB 2753 – Mandating the waiver of transfer and transaction fees by financial institutions on electronic disbursements of government aid for indigent beneficiaries, proposed by Rep. Julius Cesar “Jay” Vergara.
Committee members emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure effective delivery of social protection programs and financial support for marginalized families.
