The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has enlisted the expertise of Baguio Water District (BWD) to oversee the operation and maintenance of the water and sewerage system at the historic Camp John Hay property.
BWD conducted a 45-day rapid assessment to evaluate the existing infrastructure, identifying areas in need of modernization. Some components of the water treatment and pipeline network, dating back several decades, require upgrades to meet current standards.
Despite these challenges, BCDA remains committed to ensuring an uninterrupted water supply, implementing stringent monitoring, and taking proactive measures for pipe replacements and leak prevention to maintain system integrity.
