Finance Secretary Ralph Recto has commended the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for its significant contribution to the national treasury and its visible impact on national development.
The BCDA recently remitted ₱5.17 billion to the national government—an achievement that Secretary Recto said reflects more than just numbers on a report.
“These are not dry prose in written reports,” Recto remarked. “They are the living and booming communities that dot a landscape you have changed for the better.”
Recto highlighted BCDA’s role in building vibrant economic hubs and transforming former military bases into thriving centers of growth and opportunity—contributions that continue to fuel local and national development.
