BDO Foundation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have partnered to offer free online financial education (fin-ed) modules to millions of technical-vocational learners across the country.

The modules, co-developed by BDO Foundation and BSP, are accessible through the TESDA Online Program at e-tesda.gov.ph. The first three of nine modules introduce learners to essential personal finance topics, including financial planning, budgeting, saving, and debt management.

TESDA Director General Jose Francisco โ€œKikoโ€ Benitez praised the initiative, launched during Financial Literacy Week, highlighting its potential to empower the Filipino workforce. โ€œNagsisimula pa lang tayo [at] marami pa tayong gagawing online courses,โ€ Benitez said, emphasizing plans for more modules.

The next set of modules, now under development, will tackle advanced topics such as investing, fraud prevention, digital financial literacy, and economic indicators.

โ€œThis program helps ensure our future workforce is not only career-ready but also capable of making responsible financial decisions to secure their future,โ€ said Atty. Charina De Vera-Yap, BSPโ€™s Financial Inclusion and Consumer Empowerment Sub-sector managing director.

Previously available through the BSP E-Learning Academy (BELA), TESDA now serves as the first government partner to host the modules on its platform, further expanding access to financial education.
