BOC secures all 28 Discaya-linked luxury vehicles

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has secured custody of all 28 luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family following the turnover of 16 remaining units on September 4, 2025. This came after the recovery of 12 vehicles during a court-ordered search at the St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor & Development Corp. compound in Pasig City on September 2.

Among the surrendered units were a Mercedes Benz GLE, Land Rover Range Rover LWB, Land Rover Defender, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Ford Bronco, Mercedes Benz GLS 350, BMW X5 30d, Jaguar F-Pace 2.0D, Porsche Cayenne V6, Volvo XC90, Mercedes Benz Avant, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes Benz Sprinter, ATV Quicksand, GMC Yukon Denali, and an ATV Gray.

All vehicles have been sealed and are now under 24/7 security by BOC agents and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno emphasized that the family’s compliance is a crucial step in the investigation of the vehicles’ importation, in line with the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s inquiry into alleged anomalous flood control projects.

“This latest development will greatly assist us in verifying the importation records of these vehicles. We will assure the public that we will thoroughly check on compliance and documentation of these vehicles. If violations are found, we will ensure that appropriate penalties are imposed in accordance with the law,” Nepomuceno said.

The BOC is coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for a detailed review of the vehicles’ importation records. Any discrepancies or violations will prompt enforcement and legal actions under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
