Bamban town in Tarlac showcased local products during the conduct of its 2024 Agri-Trade Fair. The three-day activity, which is part of the Bamban Cultural Week Celebration, aims to promote the culture, products and people, and to help farmers market their produce to their fellow Bambanenses and neighboring towns.
Mayor Alice Guo explained that the Bamban Cultural Week Celebration highlights the significance of fiesta to the people, and the cultural identity of Bamban.
“We want you to enjoy and appreciate our Bamban fiesta. Through these activities, we can inculcate the genuine meaning of ‘fiesta’ to our youth. We hope that our people will return to our municipality to celebrate with us,” she said.
All 15 barangays set up their respective booths to sell different local products including vegetables, fruits, catfish, carabao’s milk, wood crafts, fermented papaya, giant backfat chicharon, rice delicacies, processed meat, condiments, and banana chips.
To encourage consumers to patronize the featured products, they will receive a raffle stub for every P50 worth of products.
Guo also shared the three-day bonsai exhibit and competition; and bonsai lecture for those who are interested in the Japanese art of growing and shaping miniature trees in containers.
Other lined-up activities are Zumba Fest, Barangay Night, Bamban Pawstival, SK/Youth Night, Driver’s Night, Miss Bamban Preliminary Competition, Street Dance Competition, Bamban Music Fest, and Grand Float Parade and Competition, and Miss Bamban Grand Coronation Night.
