Barangay Chairman PG Ponce, together with the Sangguniang Barangay, has ordered the immediate clearing and rehabilitation of public spaces in Barangay Balibago as part of a broader campaign to restore cleanliness, safety, and order in the area.

Following his directive, the barangay demolition team has begun removing makeshift structures such as shanties and illegal stalls that have taken over sidewalks and public streets. These areas have reportedly become dumping grounds for garbage and hideouts for drug users, posing a threat to public safety.

The barangay has also started clearing narrow roads of illegal vendors, unauthorized tricycle terminals, makeshift eateries, and market stalls obstructing pedestrian and vehicular flow. The goal is to ease traffic congestion and make roads safer for the community.

““Pagagandahin ko ang aking Barangay at Hindi ako titigil na Gawin at linisin eto, magalit na ang gusto magalit,” Chairman Ponce declared.

This intensified effort signals a firm stand by barangay leadership to reclaim public spaces and uphold discipline in Balibago.
