Pampanga Governor Lilia โ€œNanayโ€ Pineda called on local officials to lead with purpose, unity, and genuine public service during the L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Ethics, Accountability, and Development) Program held Tuesday, August 5, at the Kingborough International Convention Center.

The program, initiated by the Provincial Government of Pampanga in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), aims to strengthen the leadership skills of local officials by emphasizing ethical governance, accountability, and development-driven policies.

โ€œLeadership is not just a position, but a responsibility,โ€ Gov. Nanay said in her message. โ€œServe with compassion and lead for the peopleโ€”not for personal gain.โ€

Vice Governor Dennis โ€œDeltaโ€ Pineda, provincial board members, city and municipal mayors and vice mayors, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan and Panlungsod attended the training session, which tackled key issues in governance, including ethical leadership, anti-drug campaigns, environmental legislation, and the functions of legislative committees.

DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan praised the governorโ€™s unifying leadership and reminded attendees that public office is a position of trust, calling on officials to remain present, accountable, and responsive to their constituentsโ€™ needs.

The event reinforced the provinceโ€™s commitment to raising the standards of public service through education, ethical conduct, and collective leadership.
