The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bogo City, Cebu, through Resolution No. 364-2025, formally expressed gratitude to DOTr Assistant Secretary IC Calaguas and Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel for their P100,000 personal donation to victims of the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Bogo City on September 30, 2025.

“The City of Bogo deeply appreciates this generous gesture, which supports ongoing recovery efforts and strengthens the hope and resilience of the Bogohanon people,” the resolution read. It also praised the “admirable display of compassion and solidarity” by the two officials.

Of the total donation, P25,000 came from Calaguas, P25,000 from Manuel, and P50,000 from the Red Pillars Foundation, which they both lead.

Calaguas and Manuel previously donated the same amount to support victims of Typhoons Tino and Uwan in Negros Oriental in November 2025, demonstrating a continued commitment to disaster relief efforts.
