The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has suspended all operations of Woodland Airpark after an ultralight aircraft crashed in Barangay Panalicsican, Concepcion, Tarlac on Saturday morning (October 18, 2025), killing two people.

The directive came from Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez, following the incident that claimed the lives of a male and a female passenger.

CAAP Director General Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario (Ret.) said Lopez also ordered a comprehensive safety and operations audit to determine the airworthiness of the aircraft and the operator’s compliance with aviation safety regulations.

Initial reports indicate that the aircraft originated from Magalang, Pampanga, and crashed in a nearby rice field.
