The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported a 19.37% decrease in crime incidents across Central Luzon, attributing the decline to intensified law enforcement efforts.
From March 2 to March 29, 2025, a total of 1,057 crimes were recorded, down by 254 cases from the 1,311 incidents documented between February 2 and March 1, 2025. Both index crimes—such as murder, homicide, physical injury, and robbery—and non-index crimes, including violations of special laws, saw a significant drop.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo credited the downward trend to stricter security measures, increased police visibility, and intelligence-driven operations. She emphasized that the gun ban enforcement, checkpoint operations, and proactive policing have effectively curtailed criminal activities.
“This steady decline in crime incidents is a direct result of our relentless efforts to ensure public safety,” PBGEN Fajardo said, highlighting the importance of community cooperation.
With the upcoming elections, PRO3 has further strengthened patrols, security checkpoints, and intelligence operations to maintain peace and order. Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to sustain this momentum in crime prevention.
