MRT-3 CHIEF MICHAEL CAPATI INSPECTS STATIONS ON FIRST DAY BACK IN OFFICE

Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) General Manager Michael Capati conducted a full inspection of all MRT-3 stations on Tuesday, marking his first day back as the head of the rail service.

According to an MRT-3 Facebook post, the inspection focused on evaluating station facilities, including escalators, elevators, and comfort rooms. Capati also visited the footbridge at Taft Avenue Station, where a recent clearing operation removed ambulant vendors obstructing passenger pathways.

Capati emphasized the importance of firsthand assessment in addressing passenger concerns effectively. He also encouraged commuters to report any issues to the MRT-3 management.

“This way, we can ensure that we are able to address the needs of our passengers. This is what Secretary Vince Dizon has instructed us to do,” he said.

Capati was officially sworn into office by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon on Monday, following his appointment by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on March 26. He previously served as MRT-3 General Manager in 2022 and was the rail line’s director for operations since 2017.
