To address their immediate needs, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally led the distribution of relief packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to affected residents.

Among the beneficiaries was Marilou Lopez, 31, of Barangay Bebe Anac, who expressed gratitude for the swift government response.

The provincial government also conveyed its appreciation to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian for the agency’s timely assistance to Kapampangan families.

Beyond relief distribution, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), in coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and Child Development Workers of Sasmuan, organized child-friendly activities at the Provincial Evacuation Center in Sta. Catalina, Lubao to help children cope with the emotional impact of displacement.

She added that with classes still suspended, it is important to give children a chance to experience joy and learning through play, reading sessions, and educational activities.
