The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), hosts the 14th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) in Roxas City, Capiz, from October 18 to 20, 2024.

This year’s RTF will shine a spotlight on the Western Visayas region, known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning coastal landscapes, and vibrant cuisine. The event will gather tourism stakeholders and travel enthusiasts to highlight Capiz’s diverse attractions and emerging destinations, creating a platform for promoting local tourism.

“We are excited to bring the Regional Travel Fair to Roxas City, offering our tourism stakeholders a stage to showcase the unique beauty of Capiz and neighboring provinces,” shared TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “This event not only strengthens local tourism but also inspires Filipinos to discover the hidden gems and one-of-a-kind experiences found in these lesser-explored areas.”

Kicking off on October 18, the event will feature a Business-to-Business (B2B) session at Circulo Convention Center. Representatives from airlines, hotels, and tour operators will connect with provincial tourism offices from Capiz, Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Guimaras, forging new partnerships and opportunities to boost domestic travel. The day will conclude with a welcome dinner at Istorya Forest Garden, providing a relaxed networking space for participants.

On October 19 and 20, the fair will open its doors to the public with a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) event at Robinsons Roxas. Visitors can score exclusive travel deals on vacation packages, airline tickets, accommodations, and enjoy cultural performances, games, and local food showcases. Local artisans will also offer authentic Capiz crafts for guests to explore.

An added highlight is the Capiztahan Food Festival Night on October 17, where guests will enjoy a grand culinary feast celebrating Capiz’s rich flavors.

To fully immerse in the region, TPB has also planned a post-event tour, visiting key sites like Pan-ay Church, Palina Greenbelt Ecopark, and the Roxas City Heritage District.

The 14th Regional Travel Fair is organized with DOT Western Visayas, the City of Roxas, and the Province of Capiz, and supported by 2GO, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and Robinsons Roxas.
