As the nation marks the beginning of Buwan ng Wika, the Province of Tarlac honors President Manuel L. Quezon, widely regarded as the “Ama ng Wikang Pambansa,” for his pivotal role in uniting Filipinos through a national language.
In celebration of his enduring legacy, Tarlaqueños are invited to watch the film “Quezon” this coming October. The movie serves as a heartfelt tribute to the contributions to Filipino identity and nation-building by the former president, who is portrayed in the film by notable actor Jericho Rosales.
Adding a sense of local pride, Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap shared that parts of the film were shot right in the Province of Tarlac, showcasing its historical charm and cinematic appeal. She also hinted on a brief appearance in the film, encouraging residents to keep an eye out while watching.
