As endorsed and recommended by Mayor Denver Reyes Chua and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC), Cavite City, on the 29th Regular Session of Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Raleigh Grepo Rusit, together with the City Councilors, passed Resolution No. 2024-094 – declaring Cavite City under a State of Calamity due to the fire incident that happened at Barangays 5 and 7.

Last July 14, fire hit Badjao, Dalahican, Cavite City, displacing some 900 families who lost their homes.
