Cebu Pacific Named Best Airline at Routes Asia 2025

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has earned the prestigious title of Best Airline at the 2025 Routes Asia Awards, marking its second consecutive win at the regional event. This recognition highlights Cebu Pacific’s continued success in expanding its network and forging strong partnerships within the aviation industry.

The Routes Asia Awards celebrate airlines, airports, and tourism authorities for their exceptional contributions to route development and the growth of tourism throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Cebu Pacific’s back-to-back victories reflect the airline’s strategic network expansion and its efforts to foster collaborative partnerships with airports and stakeholders across the region.

“We are truly honored to receive this recognition once again,” said Xander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Cebu Pacific. “This award is a testament to the strength of our network strategy, and more importantly, the invaluable partnerships we’ve built over the years. It underscores our commitment to making air travel more accessible and expanding our reach in key markets.”

In 2024, Cebu Pacific launched 28 new routes, which included 19 domestic and 9 international destinations. Among the new services were flights to popular locations like Chiang Mai, Kaohsiung, and Sapporo. Additionally, the airline established new hubs in Davao and Iloilo, further enhancing connectivity alongside its main hubs in Manila, Cebu, and Clark.

Tanya Rabat-Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism XI, expressed gratitude for Cebu Pacific’s role in boosting tourism in Davao: “We deeply appreciate Cebu Pacific’s contribution to enhancing connectivity and tourism in Davao. As one of the Philippines’ leading airlines, Cebu Pacific has played a key role in making Davao more accessible to both local and international visitors, helping to elevate the region’s economic and tourism growth.”

In line with its growth strategy, Cebu Pacific also made history with a landmark order of 152 Airbus aircraft—the largest in Philippine aviation history. This fleet modernization is designed to support the airline’s ambitious plans to meet the rising demand for air travel across its growing network.

Moreover, Cebu Pacific continues to promote the Philippines’ rich cultural and natural offerings through its “Fly to Happy, Fly to the Philippines!” campaign, designed to attract more international travelers to the country’s diverse destinations.

Currently, Cebu Pacific operates flights to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, solidifying its position as a key player in the region’s aviation sector.
