Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, marked two decades of service in Hong Kong by honoring the very people who have long been at the heart of its journey โ€” the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). In a heartfelt celebration, the airline paid tribute to the invaluable role OFWs have played in both CEBโ€™s growth and the nation’s progress.

As a highlight of the celebration, Cebu Pacific presented its first-ever Values Awards for OFWs, recognizing five exceptional individuals who exemplify the airlineโ€™s core values: Integrity, Service, Trust, Courage, and the Best of the Filipino Spirit. Traditionally reserved for CEB employees, the Values Awards were, for the first time, extended to members of the public as a way to honor the airlineโ€™s most loyal and inspiring customers.

โ€œOFWs have been with us since the very beginning,โ€ shared Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacificโ€™s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer. โ€œThey are not only our most loyal customers but an important part of the Cebu Pacific family. This tribute is a small way of thanking them for the immense role they play in our story and in the countryโ€™s continued growth.โ€

The awards were presented during the, hosted by Philippine Allianceโ€”the largest Filipino community in Hong Kongโ€”on June 15. The event also capped off this yearโ€™s Migrant Workersโ€™ Day celebration. Each awardee received a plaque of recognition and a complimentary international roundtrip ticket from Cebu Pacific.

โ€œBeing recognized for our efforts gives us a deep sense of pride,โ€ said Dante Berido, Chairman of Philippine Alliance. โ€œIt means a lot to be seen, valued, and celebratedโ€”not just as workers, but as people who make a difference.โ€

Looking ahead, Cebu Pacific continues to strengthen its support for OFWs through various initiatives, including the soon-to-open OFW Processing Center at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), and ongoing collaborations with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and partner NGOs.

The airline has also recently introduced Juan Flight Closer to Home, a recruitment program that offers aviation engineering roles and full relocation support for OFWs who wish to return and rebuild their careers in the Philippines.

With an extensive network of 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, Cebu Pacific remains committed to connecting Filipinos โ€” wherever they are โ€” to home, family, and opportunity.
