BPSU President Ruby Santos-Matibag said that under the Memorandum of Agreement, the state university will contribute academic resources and aid in curriculum design, ensuring the programs are comprehensive and specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of the students.

“At BPSU, our responsibilities encompass not only teaching, research, and production, but also extension services, where we support our communities in enhancing their skills and talents,” she emphasized.

For its part, Aertech School Administrator Rea Rose Reyes expressed her commitment to utilizing their expertise in vocational and technical education to develop and execute specialized training programs within jails.

Additionally, BPSU Director for Extension and Training Services Bernadeth Gabor highlighted the substantial benefits this partnership will bring to PDLs by providing them with diverse training opportunities, equipping them with skills crucial for livelihoods once they re-enter society post-incarceration.
The two institutions will work with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology for successful implementation of the project. (PIA 3)
