Chef Jam Melchor, the Founder of the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, launched his new book “Kayumanggi”. The event was hosted by Sheraton Manila Hotel and Newport World Resorts.
For Chef Jam, “Kayumanggi” is more than just a book. It is a tribute to the nation’s rich heritage, an homage to the artistry of Filipino cuisine, and a call to embrace and take pride in Filipino culture. He expressed his hope that the book would serve as a bridge connecting the past and the future, ensuring that the flavors, stories, and traditions of Filipino ancestors continue to thrive for generations to come.

Chef Jam shared his heartfelt gratitude during the launch, expressing his desire to have invited even more people to share in the celebration of a collective passion for food and culture. “Those who know me understand how much I value bringing people together,” he said, reflecting on the significance of the event.
A special acknowledgment was made to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI Philippines) for their invaluable partnership, as well as to U.S. Ambassador MaryKay Loss Carlson and the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines for honoring the occasion with their presence.
