Two days before the official start of the 2025 National and Local Elections campaign period, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has ordered the removal of all election campaign materials, including posters and wall murals, across the city on March 26, 2025.
This initiative follows Section 29 of COMELEC Resolution 11086, which mandates that all candidates and political parties remove prohibited campaign materials no later than 72 hours before the campaign period officially begins.

Lazatin, currently serving his second term as Angeles City Mayor and running unopposed for the position of Pampanga First District Representative, directed Team Lazatin personnel to remove and collect campaign posters from various locations across the city’s 33 barangays.
A formal notice from the COMELEC, issued on March 25, 2025, reminds candidates to remove campaign materials that are outside designated poster areas or do not conform to the prescribed sizes.
Ahead of the campaign period, Lazatin appealed to Angeleños for a peaceful and honest election.
“Natural po na tumaas ang emosyon ng mga supporters mula sa magkakaibang panig, pero panawagan ko po na panatiliin natin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa darating na eleksyon,” Lazatin said.
