Raising the Bar in ASEAN
The ACGS is a key regional initiative to promote excellence in governance. It uses publicly available data such as company reports and official websites to assess performance. Evaluations are peer-reviewed across ASEAN to ensure accuracy and consistency.
The updated 2023 Scorecard aligns with G20 and OECD principles, now placing greater emphasis on sustainability, diversity, and board engagement.
βThe ACGS is more than a benchmarkβitβs a regional commitment to integrity,β said MSWG Chairman Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali.
Philippine SEC Chair Atty. Francis Ed. Lim, who also heads the ACMF Corporate Governance Working Group, added βAs expectations rise, our standards must evolve. ASEAN must grow togetherβethically and inclusively.β
