The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is accelerating the expansion of free Wi-Fi and improved digital connectivity nationwide through the “Juansim ng Bayan Program – Bayanihan SIM Project.”

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda announced that the project’s contract has been awarded through competitive bidding under the New Government Procurement Act, aligning with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure no Filipino is left offline.

The initiative aims to benefit nearly 700,000 recipients by providing free and low-cost connectivity in priority communities. Aguda said the project reflects “Digital Bayanihan,” combining transparency, technology, and collaboration between government and industry to advance digital inclusion across the country.
