The Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development is calling on communities, health workers, and local government units to work together in ensuring safe pregnancies and childbirth.

DOH Family Health Cluster Head Janet Miclat stressed the importance of early and regular prenatal care, skilled birth attendants, and well-equipped facilities. She urged pregnant women to complete eight antenatal checkups, deliver in health facilities, and attend four postnatal visits for better outcomes.

Miclat also emphasized awareness of danger signs such as heavy bleeding, severe headaches, or breathing issues, which need immediate medical care. She encouraged local governments to provide free check-ups, medicines, vitamins, and emergency transport.

The DOH continues to promote maternal health as a key to building healthier families and future generations.
